Privacy Policy: Psalmbreak
Psalmbreak asks you to pause and pray before a distracting app opens. It is built so that your prayer life and your phone use stay with you: the app has no account, runs no server for prayer and unlocking, and does not collect or send the apps you limit or how you use your phone.
- No account, no sign in. You never give us a name, email or ID. A first name you type to be greeted by stays on your device.
- Blocking happens on your device. On iPhone, Psalmbreak uses Apple Screen Time (FamilyControls, ManagedSettings, DeviceActivity). The system hands the app only opaque tokens for the apps you choose, so Psalmbreak cannot even read which apps they are, and the tokens never leave your device. On Android, Psalmbreak uses usage access and a screen overlay: it reads which app is in front only to know when to show the pause, and that reading stays on your device.
- Your prayers and streaks stay on your device. Your streak, prayer history, simple statistics, settings and focus profiles are stored locally and are not sent to us or anyone else. Deleting the app deletes them.
- No analytics, no ads, no tracking. The app contains no advertising, no analytics and no crash reporting code, and uses no advertising identifier.
- Purchases. Prayer and unlocking are always free. If you buy an optional subscription, Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) processes the payment; we never see your card. To know whether a subscription is active across reinstalls, we use RevenueCat as our processor: it receives the purchase record, a random app user identifier and basic device information, never your prayers, your history or the apps you limit.
- Everything is bundled. Verses, prayers and symbols ship inside the app; nothing is loaded from third party servers while you pray.
- Children. The app is for a general audience and is not directed at children. It collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
Your rights under the GDPR (access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, and complaint to a supervisory authority) apply to any purchase data RevenueCat holds for us; write to us and we will act on it. Everything else is on your device and in your hands.

Psalmbreak bittet dich, kurz innezuhalten und zu beten, bevor sich eine ablenkende App öffnet. Die App ist so gebaut, dass dein Gebetsleben und deine Handynutzung bei dir bleiben: Es gibt kein Konto, keinen Server für Gebet und Freischalten, und die App erhebt oder sendet weder die Apps, die du begrenzt, noch wie du dein Handy nutzt.
- Kein Konto, keine Anmeldung. Du gibst uns weder Namen noch Mailadresse noch eine Kennung. Ein Vorname, mit dem du begrüßt werden möchtest, bleibt auf deinem Gerät.
- Das Sperren geschieht auf deinem Gerät. Auf dem iPhone nutzt Psalmbreak Apples Bildschirmzeit (FamilyControls, ManagedSettings, DeviceActivity). Das System gibt der App nur undurchsichtige Platzhalter für die gewählten Apps; Psalmbreak kann nicht einmal lesen, welche Apps das sind, und die Platzhalter verlassen dein Gerät nie. Auf Android nutzt Psalmbreak den Nutzungszugriff und eine Bildschirmüberlagerung: Die App liest nur, welche App gerade vorne ist, um die Pause zur rechten Zeit zu zeigen, und diese Information bleibt auf deinem Gerät.
- Gebete und Serien bleiben auf deinem Gerät. Deine Serie, dein Gebetsverlauf, einfache Statistiken, Einstellungen und Fokusprofile werden lokal gespeichert und weder an uns noch an andere gesendet. Wenn du die App löschst, sind sie gelöscht.
- Keine Analyse, keine Werbung, kein Tracking. Die App enthält keinen Werbe, Analyse oder Absturzberichtcode und nutzt keine Werbekennung.
- Käufe. Gebet und Freischalten sind immer kostenlos. Kaufst du ein freiwilliges Abo, wickelt Apple (App Store) oder Google (Google Play) die Zahlung ab; deine Karte sehen wir nie. Damit ein Abo auch nach einer Neuinstallation erkannt wird, nutzen wir RevenueCat als Auftragsverarbeiter: RevenueCat erhält den Kaufbeleg, eine zufällige App Nutzerkennung und grundlegende Geräteangaben, nie deine Gebete, deinen Verlauf oder die Apps, die du begrenzt.
- Alles ist eingebettet. Verse, Gebete und Symbole sind in der App enthalten; während du betest, lädt sie nichts von fremden Servern.
- Kinder. Die App richtet sich an ein allgemeines Publikum, nicht an Kinder. Sie erhebt von niemandem personenbezogene Daten, auch nicht von Kindern.
Deine Rechte nach der DSGVO (Auskunft, Berichtigung, Löschung, Einschränkung, Widerspruch, Datenübertragbarkeit und Beschwerde bei einer Aufsichtsbehörde, etwa dem Bayerischen Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht) gelten für Kaufdaten, die RevenueCat für uns verarbeitet; schreib uns, und wir kümmern uns darum. Alles andere liegt auf deinem Gerät und in deiner Hand.
